Mobile Expeditions Roca River Camp is owned and managed by Ross and Caro. They both come from a long family legacy of safari and conservation. Both grew up in Kenya, exploring and discovering Kenya’s rich natural history and biodiversity as youngsters. They met as teenagers, and among other things, shared a love for Kenya’s wildlife and wilderness. They spent years traveling through Africa together, and guiding mobile safaris in East Africa until they took over Mobile Expeditions in 2017. Most recently, they set up Roca River Camp in 2023, which they run with a wonderful team, most of whom have been with Mobile Expeditions from the early days.

Caro’s family, the Roberts’, have been in the safari industry for over 50 years, operating and guiding safaris across the continent and developing lodges across Kenya, as well as contributing hugely to wildlife conservation in Kenya.

Roca River Camp is located on the edge of Paradise Plains in the famous Masai Mara National Reserve, in a quiet corner on the banks of the Mara River, which offers the tranquillity of both the riverine forest and the great Mara plains. The Camp is strategically located, offering access to both the Maasai Mara National Reserve and the Mara Triangle, allowing for some of the best
game viewing Kenya has to offer.
