Koros Camp is a private lodge shaped by a love of adventure and a strong commitment to conservation. Relaunched in 2023 by Tropic Air and Lattitude Adventures, it brings together sustainable design, comfort, and the raw beauty of northern Kenya. The camp sits lightly on the land, with a low footprint that respects the surrounding ecosystem and supports the neighbouring community.
Koros is not a traditional safari lodge. It is wild, remote, and deeply connected to its landscape, offering an experience that feels personal, elemental, and entirely your own.
Born and raised in Kenya, Amory and Karina bring a lifetime of bush experience to Koros Camp. Both come from families who helped shape safari exploration in East Africa, and their knowledge of the landscape, wildlife, and local culture runs deep. Through Lattitude Adventures, Amory has developed innovative, lightweight safaris that reach remote and beautiful places with ease, always delivered with the understated elegance and generous hospitality Kenya is known for.
Karina adds years of operational expertise and a natural warmth that shapes every guest experience, ensuring comfort, calm, and thoughtful attention from start to finish.
Together, they manage Koros Camp with a clear sense of purpose, respecting the land, working closely with the surrounding community, and creating a space where the power of nature, silence, and wide open places can be felt and enjoyed.
Koros is a place for travellers who value stillness, adventure, and space. Set on the red earth of Northern Kenya, it offers wide views, clear air, and a deep sense of connection to the land. Days unfold at your own pace. Explore remote valleys, walk along dry riverbeds, climb rocky kopjes, or simply sit and watch the light shift across the plains.
From bush breakfasts to sundowners on a rock ledge, every moment is shaped to the rhythm of your stay. The team creates an unhurried, off the map safari focused on walking, hiking, scenic drives, and genuine cultural encounters.
The camp is stylish and understated, with open air bathrooms, soft linen, natural materials, and thoughtful touches that let the surrounding wilderness take the lead.
There is something about Koros that stays with you. The remoteness, the vast open spaces, and the beauty of the northern landscape create a feeling that is hard to put into words. Days open out in every direction, horizons stretch for miles, and the silence feels grounding rather than empty.
What we love most is the honesty of the experience. Nothing is overdone. The camp sits lightly on the land, letting the scenery set the tone, and Amory and Karina bring a warmth and ease that shape the stay without ever rushing it.
Koros is space, simplicity, and a deep connection to place — and that is why we love it
Since opening in 2021 under the Tropic Air and Lattitude Adventures partnership, Koros Camp has grown with a commitment to leaving no trace and supporting the land, wildlife, and people who define this region. Through guest conservation fees, monthly land rent, and the employment of all nine staff from the neighbouring village, the camp contributes directly to the L’Donyo Mara Conservancy. These funds support education, food security, and the work of local scouts who help protect the area.
Tourism at Koros has also encouraged local enterprise, from Samburu women creating beautiful beaded products to cultural dance groups earning meaningful income. Support for nearby schools, mobile eye clinics, and ongoing water access projects further strengthens the community. Your stay helps this work continue.
