Nigel Archer Safaris and their brand-new camp, Seringet Mara, offer an extraordinary safari experience in the heart of the iconic Maasai Mara.
Ideally located at the confluence of the Mara and Talek Rivers, the camp provides unrivalled views of the Great Migration and abundant wildlife. Recently refurbished in 2025, Seringet features spacious, elegantly appointed ensuite tents that blend classic safari charm with understated luxury.
Whether journeying through Kenya on Nigel Archer’s expertly guided mobile safaris or immersing yourself in the heart of the Maasai Mara at Seringet Mara Camp, each offers a unique and unforgettable way to experience the continent.
Nigel Archer, a fourth-generation Kenyan, continues his family’s legacy in safari exploration, following in the footsteps of his father, Tony Archer, a renowned figure in the Kenyan safari industry.
With a BSc in Natural Resources Management and a lifetime surrounded by East Africa’s wildlife, Nigel has an exceptional eye for prime safari locations. By creating Seringet Mara Camp, he offers guests an immersive experience that combines luxury with authentic wildlife encounters. Personally guiding guests, he shares his expertise, fosters a deep appreciation for conservation, and ensures every safari is both memorable and meaningful.
At Seringet Mara Camp, every day offers the opportunity for unforgettable experiences beyond the traditional game drive. Guests can soar over the savannah at sunrise on a hot air balloon, take to the skies on a helicopter safari to reach remote landscapes, or traverse the plains on horseback, quietly observing wildlife in their natural habitat.
For a more intimate encounter, guided walking safaris reveal the richness of the flora and fauna, while cultural experiences provide a meaningful connection to the traditions and communities of the Mara. Each activity is designed to deepen your connection with the landscape, creating unique, immersive, and truly memorable moments.
Seringet Camp: The camp features 7 double tents and 2 family tents, with all double tents configurable as either doubles or twins. Each tent is ensuite, accommodating a maximum of 22 guests, and offers a private veranda, classic canvas furnishings, and elegant interiors crafted to the highest standard. Mobile Camps: The camps have a maximum of 18 tents, each thoughtfully spaced for privacy and immersion in the wilderness. Every tent includes a private veranda, en-suite safari bathroom, and dressing area, with a king-size or twin bed, fine linens, duvets, and hot water bottles for cooler nights. With solar lighting, a canvas wardrobe, and fresh flowers, each tent combines the comfort of a luxury lodge with the magic of being in the wild.
At Nigel Archer Safaris, sustainability is woven into every aspect of the safari experience. Their mobile camps and Seringet are designed to leave no trace, relying on solar power, water-saving systems, and careful planning to ensure the environment remains as untouched as they found it.
Through his personal involvement, Nigel shares his deep knowledge of wildlife and conservation, enriching every journey. In partnership with Planet Moja, guests can offset their carbon footprint or contribute directly to local environmental initiatives, making each safari not only extraordinary but also meaningful. As Nigel says, “Sustainability isn’t a buzzword, it’s a way of life. Our camps are designed with respect for the land, so guests can experience the Mara responsibly, beautifully, and authentically.”
